My name is Connor McCoy, and I’m a musician born and raised near the glorious mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. I graduated Berklee College of Music in 2018 as a piano principal with a BA in Professional Music and a concentrate in Music Production & Engineering, and have since been living in Los Angeles, where I've been working as a freelance composer and sound engineer.
When I was younger, I attended the Madeleine Choir School in Salt Lake City, where I first learned how to read and sing classical music with the cathedral choir, performing on multiple occasions with the Utah Opera, the Utah Symphony, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and concert tours throughout Italy and Spain. After being accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston for piano, I then became a part of Berklee's premiere a capella group "Pitch Slapped" (winners of the ICAA competition in 2011 and 2014) - touring with them both nationally and internationally, teaching workshops and performing shows and workshops in parts of China.
I’ve been featured as the lead vocalist in two of Samsung Mobile’s advertisement campaigns, both of which racked up over 30 million views at the time that they aired.
I’ve scored five short films to date, some of which been featured in festivals around the country such as Orlando Film Festival, Way Down Film Festival, Red Rocks Film Festival, NFFTY Film Festival, Coronado Island Film Festival, Long Beach Indie Film Festival, and the Burbank International Film Festival, to name a few.
I have previously worked as a composer assistant for Monkey Mind Music Group - helping compose music on shows on network TV and streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon.
My own music, which I release independently, has racked up hundreds of thousands of streams on streaming services, and has been featured in multiple playlists and blogs.
My band, Yankee & The Foreigners, has toured internationally in both Canada and the U.K., and we were sent as Berklee's ambassadors to Singapore and China to teach songwriting & production to students there.
